DRC: Around 50 soldiers tried, including for fleeing battles against the FRN in Masisi

Fifty-four soldiers from the FARDC’s 3415th Regiment have been appearing since October 26 before the Goma garrison military court, sitting in Walikale-centre. The army says they were arrested on October 20 in Ngora while leaving the front lines in the Humura area. Major Dieudonné Kasereka said the trial is also intended to reinforce discipline in the FARDC, with a verdict expected in about ten days.
