DRC - Carbon Market: Félix Tshisekedi Promulgates the Ordinance-Law Establishing the Status of "Solution Country"

President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi promulgated Ordinance-Law No. 26/016 on September 7, 2026, regulating the carbon market in the DRC. This legislation, led by Minister Marie Nyange Ndambo, establishes a legal framework for the voluntary carbon market and creates a National Carbon Registry. It aims to strengthen national sovereignty and ensure the rights of local communities while enhancing the DRC's climate potential.
