DRC: Days of fighting between AFC/M23 and FARDC continue in the strategic village of Point Zero in South Kivu

Fighting has intensified since August 28 in the village of Point Zero, located at the border of the territories of Fizi and Mwenga. The FARDC, supported by Burundian forces, launched a drone attack, leading to mass displacements and a humanitarian crisis. The AFC/M23 rebels still occupy this village, which is crucial for controlling the region and access to the Fizi center.
