DRC: EU and UNDP support the digitization of justice to strengthen transparency and improve services for court users

The Congolese Ministry of Justice launched the digitization of judicial revenues and the interconnection of courts, prosecutors’ offices and prisons on November 5, 2026. Led by national institutions with technical expertise from the UNDP and funding from the European Union, the project aims in part to replace manual collection of court fees with a secure, traceable system. State Minister Guillaume Ngefa Atondoko Andali chaired the ceremony at the Palace of Justice, attended by Minister Augustin Kibassa Maliba, EU Ambassador Douglas Darius Carpenter and UNDP Resident Representative Kamil Kayode Kamaluddeen. The reform is part of the government’s 2024–2028 action program and the 2025–2029 joint program supporting justice reform.
