DRC: Facing Occupation of National Territories, Léonard She Okitundu Launches Dynamic 52 to Condemn M23 and Rwanda

Léonard She Okitundu, a Congolese MP and former Foreign Minister, launched the citizen initiative Dynamic Article 52 of the Constitution (D52) in Kinshasa to demand the condemnation of the M23 rebel group and Rwanda’s involvement in occupying Goma and Bukavu in DRC. He emphasizes the importance of respecting Article 52 of the Constitution and implementing UN Security Council Resolution 2773. D52 aims to raise awareness among Congolese society, engage diplomatic advocacy with the UN Security Council’s permanent members, and seek support from the African Union and European Union for concrete actions to address the security crisis in eastern DRC.
