DRC-FDLR: US, France, Belgium and eight other partners take note of the protocol and demand a plan and a schedule for neutralization

The International Contact Group for the Great Lakes Region (GIC) has asked the Congolese authorities to quickly develop an operational plan and schedule for the effective neutralization of the Democratic Forces for the Liberation of Rwanda (FDLR). The US, Belgium and eight other partners have taken note of the disarmament, demobilization and cantonment protocol signed by a faction of the FDLR. The GIC demands that the implementation of the protocol be in line with the obligations taken in the Washington agreements.
