DRC: Former Thugs Engaged to Clean Up Kinshasa's Waste

In Kinshasa, a cleaning team made up of former thugs has been established to clear the city's waste. These recruits, known as the 'builders', wear blue overalls and yellow boots and began their work in June. While they have been praised for their effectiveness, reports of violence against citizens have also emerged.
