DRC: Free Screening Campaign for Breast and Cervical Cancers Launched for October Pink

The Congolese Ministry of Health has launched a free screening campaign for breast and cervical cancers in six provinces, supported by the World Bank and Roche, as part of October Pink. The program aims to reach 912,000 women by 2028, with 5,000 women in Kinshasa able to access free breast cancer screening at four hospitals. According to GLOBOCAN 2024, over 9,700 new breast cancer cases and over 11,200 cervical cancer cases are recorded annually in DRC.
