DRC: Government strengthens its information space protection system against abusive content on social networks and digital platforms

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the government has decided to strengthen its national information space protection system against the rise of abusive content on social networks. During the 97th Council of Ministers meeting, Communication Minister Patrick Muyaya presented measures to shift from a reactive approach to a comprehensive governance strategy. Recommendations include the establishment of an inter-ministerial task force and enhancing prevention through national campaigns and media education.
