DRC: In Uvira, football as a space for reconstruction for amputees

In Uvira, South Kivu, the first national amputee football championship took place from September 23 to 25, bringing together players from three provinces. Supported by the Red Cross, the event aims to promote inclusion of disabled persons and provide conflict victims with a space for reconstruction through sport. The opening match between South Kivu and North Kivu ended in a 1-1 draw, giving players the opportunity to showcase their talent and resilience, including those who lost limbs in explosions or fleeing violence.
