DRC-Israel: Three Years After Their Announcement, the Opening of Embassies Remains at the Consultation Stage

The DRC and Israel agreed to continue consultations for the opening of an Israeli embassy in Kinshasa and the transfer of the Congolese embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, following a meeting between Félix Tshisekedi and Benjamin Netanyahu. These projects, announced in September 2023, remain at the discussion stage without a specific timeline. The two leaders also discussed topics such as security, agriculture, and economic relations during their talks.
