DRC: Jean-Pierre Kiwakana Calls for National Dialogue to Reduce Tensions and Divisions

Jean-Pierre Kiwakana, president of the Economic and Social Council (CES), emphasized the importance of the national dialogue to restore trust, strengthen national cohesion, and address the root causes of the country's fragilities during the opening of the CES session. He supported President Félix Tshisekedi's initiative, stating that refusing to participate would worsen divisions. Kiwakana also discussed challenges related to implementing the LMD system and stressed the need to listen to provincial aspirations to develop sustainable reforms.
