DRC: Kinshasa demands the maintenance of free primary education in areas controlled by AFC/M23

The Congolese government demanded the cessation of any school fees in public primary schools in North Kivu controlled by AFC/M23. A statement from the Ministry of National Education reminds that primary education is mandatory and free according to the Constitution. It specifies that no child should be excluded from a public primary school for non-payment. The government will continue to fund teachers' salaries and operational costs for schools.
