DRC: Lieutenant-General Ilunga Dikita Paul to serve as interim head of the High Military Court

Lieutenant-General Ilunga Dikita Paul is serving as interim Chief Justice of the High Military Court following the death of Lieutenant-General Joseph Mutombo Katalay. He has paid respects to the President of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, Dieudonné Kamuleta Badibanga. The military justice system was also affected by the death of General Lucien René Likulia Bakumi in an airplane crash on September 25, 2026, in Kenge, leading to flags being flown at half-mast and an investigation into the incident.
