DRC: Ministry of Justice and National Service to Strengthen Collaboration for Reintegration and Support to Prisons

The DRC Ministry of Justice and the National Service, attached to the Presidency, held a meeting in Kinshasa to strengthen their cooperation on prison reform, including socio-professional reintegration, training, and prison supply. Minister Guillaume Ngefa emphasized that the initiative aims to improve rehabilitation and reintegration of convicts without transferring judicial authority to the National Service. He also praised the Service's success in supervising youth involved in delinquency, integrating them into productive activities, and discussed the concept of a 'prison-school' to facilitate reintegration.
