DRC: Opposition denounces repression of its protests

In the Democratic Republic of Congo, members of the C64 platform issued a joint statement condemning the violence that occurred during their protest against the proposed constitutional changes. Dieudonné Bolengetenge, Secretary General of the 'Ensemble pour la République' party, accused President Félix Tshisekedi and his regime of planning the elimination of opponents. The C64 also criticized the international community's inaction regarding the abuses by Congolese authorities.
