DRC: Pharmacists Call for Their Integration into the Congolese Public Health Program

On September 25, the World Pharmacists Day was celebrated, highlighting their role in addressing health challenges. Glorry Panzu, honorary president of the National Pharmacists Council of DRC, called for the inclusion of pharmacies in universal health coverage, emphasizing their importance for medication access and quality care. He recommended recognizing pharmacists as primary care actors, implementing IT systems, enabling medication reimbursement through health coverage, and strengthening their skills in community health. This year's theme is: 'Empowering Pharmacists for a Healthy Future'.
