DRC Reiterates Request to Suspend Rwandan Blue Helmets' Participation Until Verified Rwandan Forces Withdraw from Its Territory

The Democratic Republic of Congo requests the UN Security Council to suspend all participation, deployment, or rotation of Rwandan contingents in UN peacekeeping operations until their forces are verified to have withdrawn from Congolese territory. This follows the occupation of Goma and Bukavu by the M23 rebellion, supported by Rwanda. Ambassador Zénon Mukongo Ngay emphasized the importance of consistency and credibility in peacekeeping efforts, recalling that UN resolution demands ending support to M23 and Rwandan forces' withdrawal.
