DRC: Several cases of a new Ebola epidemic and dozens of deaths recorded

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, approximately 246 suspected cases and 65 deaths related to a new Ebola epidemic have been recorded, mainly in the localities of Mongwalu and Rwampara. Analyses confirmed the presence of the virus in 13 out of 20 tested samples. Health authorities fear cross-border infections, and Africa CDC has scheduled an emergency meeting with several neighboring countries to coordinate the response to this crisis.
