DRC–United States: Strategic partnership reviews investment projects in Paris

The DRC and the United States held the second meeting of their joint steering committee in Paris to review their strategic partnership. The delegations welcomed the signing of the Lobito Corridor concession agreement and discussed next steps for the Grand Inga dam, as well as investment opportunities in critical minerals and energy. The U.S. development finance agency, the DFC, outlined investments it is preparing in the DRC but gave no amounts; the committee also stressed implementing the new tax and customs legislation.
