Drug trafficking: Court sentences South African woman to 25 yrs in prison

The Federal High Court in Abuja sentenced a 38-year-old South African woman, Will Ann, to 25 years in prison for smuggling 5.75 kg of heroin into Nigeria. Ann was arrested in July while traveling with her three-year-old son on a Qatar Airways flight. Despite her pleas for leniency and promises not to reoffend, the judge emphasized that the law is not influenced by emotions and ordered her sentences to run concurrently.
