Dschang Cliff: Two Years After Deadly Landslides, Road Reopens

The Dschang cliff was reopened to traffic on October 1, 2026, after disruptions caused by landslides in November 2024. The initial landslide on November 5, 2024, resulted in 12 deaths and 2 injuries, severely damaging the regional road R0606 connecting Dschang to Santchou. A further setback occurred in October 2025 when part of the detour road collapsed due to erosion, delaying the rehabilitation. The reopening ceremony was led by Minister of Public Works Emmanuel Nganou Djoumessi, with local authorities present.
