The Department of State Services (DSS) has requested an adjournment of the cybercrime case against Omoyele Sowore, the African Action Congress presidential candidate, until after the 2027 elections. This decision is intended to allow Sowore to fully participate in the electoral process without court proceedings hindering his political activities. The DSS initially filed charges against Sowore for social media posts in which he referred to the President as a 'criminal'.
