Nigeria Awaits 10 Attack Helicopters and UAVs, Defence Minister Says

Nigerian Defence Minister Christopher Gwabin Musa said the country is expecting 10 attack helicopters, unmanned aerial vehicles and other military equipment to strengthen its response to security threats. At a meeting in Abuja with EU Ambassador Gautier Mignot, officials reviewed defence cooperation and a proposed €20 million package for Nigeria’s armed forces through the European Peace Facility. Musa also warned of potential instability around the Lake Chad Basin and said kidnappings on major highways and attacks on isolated communities persist.
