EAC forms regional Ebola response team - The EastAfrican

The East African Community (EAC) has approved the formation of a regional technical task force on Ebola and other dangerous diseases. Ten mobile laboratories have been deployed across seven member states. Health ministers agreed to harmonize screening measures and share disease information in real time. The WHO reported 321 confirmed Ebola cases in DRC and 11 in Uganda.

Kenya: US quarantine center project against Ebola maintained

The Kenyan government announced it is maintaining the US quarantine center project for Americans exposed to Ebola, despite public protest and a court order suspending its opening.
