EACC Arrests Lands Officer for Allegedly Soliciting Ksh100,000 Bribe

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) arrested and charged a clerical officer at the Uasin Gishu Lands Office for soliciting Ksh100,000 to facilitate a land subdivision. The officer received part of the bribe. After investigations, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions approved prosecution. The officer denied the charge and was granted cash bail of Ksh30,000 or a bond of Ksh100,000.
