EACC Arrests Two Suspects Over Alleged Extortion of Ksh100,000

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested two suspects accused of demanding Ksh100,000 from a person under investigation. The suspects were arrested after receiving Ksh30,000, promising to use their alleged networks to terminate the investigation. They are suspected to be part of a wider group of fraudsters operating in the Western region, impersonating EACC officials or claiming they can influence investigations. The EACC has warned the public against individuals claiming they can influence investigations or official processes for money.
