East African Community Prepares for Diseases outbreak in member states

The East African Community is ramping up efforts to prepare its member states for outbreaks of infectious diseases, including Ebola. Currently, 120 health professionals from all partner states are undergoing specialized training in Nairobi, Kenya, under the TEACH program. This initiative aims to enhance the skills of health workers to manage high-consequence infectious diseases and establish a mobile laboratory network for rapid diagnostics.
