East African Countries Adopt Artificial Intelligence Declaration. To soon Establish Regional AI Tech Fund

East African Community countries have committed to establish a Regional Artificial Intelligence Technologies Fund to promote AI research and innovation. This fund will mobilize blended finance and attract private sector investment to support AI innovations developed within the region. The AI declaration adopted at a conference in Kigali, Rwanda, aims to enhance East Africa's digital sovereignty by developing AI systems tailored to local languages and regional data.
