East of the DRC: 120 members of the FDLR and their dependents repatriated to Rwanda

MONUSCO announced the repatriation of 120 members of the FDLR and their dependents to Rwanda, carried out on September 8, 2026. This operation was conducted in coordination with the governments of the DRC and Rwanda, as part of efforts for the demobilization and reintegration of combatants. The repatriated individuals were transferred to the Rwandan Demobilization and Reintegration Commission center in Mutobo to join a community reintegration program.
