East of the DRC: two field missions of the MCVE+ conducted in Minembwe and Masisi, announces the CIRGL

Two ceasefire verification missions were conducted in Minembwe and Masisi in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo, from August 24 to 25 and September 10 to 12, 2026, respectively. These missions, praised by the CIRGL, aim to strengthen trust between the Congolese government and the Alliance Fleuve Congo/March 23 Movement (AFC/M23). The CIRGL Executive Secretariat expressed gratitude for the cooperation of both parties and announced that regular verification missions will be conducted in the future.
