Eastern DRC: France reaffirms support for Congolese territorial integrity after AFC/M23 restructuring

On October 13, France expressed its vigilance regarding the recent restructuring of the armed group AFC/M23 in eastern DRC, emphasizing the importance of respecting Congo's sovereignty and territorial integrity. During a UN Security Council meeting, the French representative highlighted that ongoing armed groups continue to fuel regional insecurity. France also called for the implementation of a ceasefire and praised missions conducted in Minembwe and Masisi by the Expanded Joint Verification Mechanism.
