Ebola: 150 motorcycle taxi drivers sensitized to strengthen community surveillance

In Ituri, 150 motorcycle taxi drivers have been mobilized to strengthen community surveillance against the Ebola outbreak. They are trained to detect early, report suspected cases, combat rumors, and promote preventive measures while protecting themselves. Drivers are crucial for quickly transmitting information to health services and spreading prevention messages, according to the Ministry of Health and WHO. A briefing session gathered 34 participants, including association presidents and taxi-moto parking chiefs.
