Ebola: at the UN, DRC emphasizes that national mobilization and partner support are yielding tangible results

RDC Prime Minister Judith Suminwa Tuluka stated at the 81st UN General Assembly that the fight against the Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo strain is making progress thanks to national mobilization and partner support. She emphasized the need to strengthen health systems for health sovereignty, including rapid epidemic detection and community engagement. Having contained sixteen previous Ebola outbreaks, the DRC views its expertise as a key asset in the current response.
