Ebola: Canada extends travel restrictions for residents of three countries including DRC until November 27

Canada has extended its temporary immigration measures by 60 days until November 27, 2026, in response to the Ebola outbreak in the DRC. These measures prevent foreign nationals who listed the DRC, Uganda, or South Sudan as their last residence from traveling to Canada, even if they hold visas or electronic travel authorizations. The Canadian authorities will review new and existing applications but will not finalize any while the restrictions are in place, stating that the risk of Ebola entering Canada remains low.
