The health minister reportedly allocated $150,000 each to the deputy caucuses of North Kivu and Ituri, and $50,000 to the Haut-Uélé caucus, to fund Ebola awareness efforts. Deputy Elie Kambale questioned the minister in the National Assembly about the amounts promised and disbursed and the results of the fieldwork. Deputy Jeanine Kavira Katasohire says she received $46,500, of which $9,300 went toward hand sanitizing gels and thermoflash thermometers.
