Ebola in Beni: two recovered patients leave the Mutwanga Treatment Center

Two Ebola survivors, Wasingya Sabuni and Kavugho Syayisoghola, left the Ebola Treatment Center at Mutwanga General Reference Hospital on October 2, amid community applause. They had been treated for 22 and 28 days respectively, and their recovery was officially declared by Dr. Germain Kamaliro, who handed them their discharge certificates. The ceremony, attended by the sector chief Kasereka Mapathi Japhet, emphasized community reintegration for survivors. A total of 15 confirmed Ebola cases have been recorded in Mutwanga, with 2 recovered, 6 under follow-up, and 4 deaths.
