Ebola in Butembo: Children's Parliament Alerts on Water Shortage in Several Schools

The Children's Parliament of Butembo-Lubero called on authorities to strengthen Ebola prevention measures in schools, as several schools in Lumumba lack water for handwashing facilities. Four public primary schools, serving 2,665 students and 67 teachers, cannot use these facilities due to water shortages. President Christine Kavira suggested building a borehole to supply potable water to these schools. Additionally, the Butembo II education division announced water supply in six schools in Kimemi to aid Ebola prevention efforts.
