More than a hundred days after the declaration of the 17th Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the situation is concerning with 6,206 confirmed cases and 3,009 deaths. The Director General of Africa CDC, Dr. Jean Kaseya, highlighted the geographical spread of the outbreak, which now affects 6 provinces and 60 health zones. Despite the efforts of the government and partners, he stated that the response needs to be strengthened.
