Ebola in DRC: First vaccinations start in Kisangani

The Democratic Republic of Congo has begun vaccinating its population against Ebola in Kisangani in response to an outbreak caused by the rare 'Bundibugyo' strain of the virus. The vaccination campaign uses the Ervebo vaccine, which is effective against the Zaire strain but not against the one responsible for the current outbreak. Residents are visiting vaccination centers to receive their doses.
