The Mahagi territory in Ituri has recorded 24 deaths among 50 confirmed Ebola cases since the outbreak began. No new cases have been reported in Mahagi for nearly two months, thanks to the involvement of political-military authorities in the response. However, patients continue to arrive from other affected areas, especially Mongwalu, with some being transported clandestinely by motorcycle, complicating epidemiological monitoring. Response teams face logistical challenges, including fuel shortages, while continuing awareness campaigns with WHO support.
