Ebola in North Kivu: for the first time, more than ten recovered patients leave the Katwa CTE in one day

The Ebola Treatment Center in Katwa, North Kivu, recorded 12 discharges on September 26, including 11 recovered patients and one non-case. The recovered include 4 babies, a 10-year-old child, and six adults. Since June 2026, the center has reported 92 recoveries, contributing to a total of 2,001 people declared cured in the region. The epidemic has resulted in 7,946 confirmed cases and 3,833 deaths since its onset.
