Ebola now claims 3,400 lives in DR Congo where cases go beyond 7000 and counting

The death toll from Ebola in the Democratic Republic of Congo has reached 3,398, with over 7,022 confirmed cases. Ituri province is the epicenter of the outbreak, accounting for nearly 79% of cases. Cases have also been confirmed in schools in Bunia, where four students were infected, one of whom has died. Authorities are keeping schools open while reinforcing hygiene measures.
