Ebola outbreak: DRC records 7,672 confirmed cases

The Democratic Republic of the Congo now has 7,672 confirmed cases of Ebola, with 3,699 deaths reported. The fatality rate stands at 48.2%, with 1,879 patients recovered and 886 hospitalized or in quarantine. To combat the spread, a clinical trial of the Ervebo vaccine has been launched in Bunia, aiming to vaccinate at least 20,000 people in the Ituri and North Kivu provinces.
