Ebola patient in Nigeria is Swiss and had not visited DR Congo, says Bern

Switzerland’s foreign ministry said the Ebola patient in Nigeria is a Swiss woman and the wife of an employee at the embassy in Abuja. The patient, hospitalised at a private clinic for about a week, has the Bundibugyo strain, and 44 contacts have been identified. Bern is considering repatriating her, while the embassy’s other 25 staff members do not need to isolate.
