Ebola: Travelers to the United States Must Now Complete a Health Declaration

As of November 3 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time, all passengers on international flights to the United States must sign a CDC health declaration before boarding. They must confirm that they have not visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the previous 21 days, or airlines may deny them boarding. The rule also applies to travelers transiting through the United States and to commercial, private, and general aviation flights; an authorized person may complete the form for a minor or a passenger unable to do so. The CDC says no cases linked to the outbreak in the DRC have been detected in the United States and that the risk to the general population remains low.
