Ebola: Travelers to the U.S. Must Complete a Health Declaration

From 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on November 3, all passengers on international flights to the United States must sign a CDC declaration before boarding, confirming they have not visited the Democratic Republic of the Congo in the previous 21 days. The rule applies regardless of nationality, including to travelers transiting through the U.S. and passengers on commercial, private, and general aviation flights. Airlines may deny boarding to anyone without the declaration; an authorized person may complete it for a minor or someone unable to fill it out. The CDC says no cases linked to the outbreak in the DRC have been detected in the United States and that the risk to the general population remains low.
