Econews: 'Before the Security Council, Kinshasa Accuses!'

The DRC accused Rwanda before the United Nations Security Council of orchestrating the 'transplantation' of Rwandan populations into eastern Congo, describing it as a silent war. Kinshasa calls for the suspension of Rwandan contingents involved in UN peacekeeping missions until a verified withdrawal of Rwandan forces from Congolese territory. Ambassador Zénon Mukongo Ngay emphasized the need to implement Security Council resolutions, including resolution 2773, which calls for the cessation of hostilities by M23 and the withdrawal of Rwandan forces. The DRC believes these commitments have not yet been fully fulfilled.
