Education ministry's strike suspension claim null, void - ASCSN

The Association of Senior Civil Servants of Nigeria (ASCSN) rejected claims that the ongoing strike by workers in Federal Unity Colleges had been suspended. The union stated that the nationwide strike, affecting 115 institutions, would continue due to the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa's failure to fulfill agreements. ASCSN also condemned the deployment of armed police to King's College, Lagos, describing it as a dangerous escalation and an unacceptable abuse of state power.
