EFCC drags suspect to court over alleged N4.3m rice deal fraud in Maiduguri

The Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Abdullahi Aminu before Justice Aisha Kumaliya for an alleged fraud of N4.3 million. The defendant is accused of misappropriating this amount, intended for the supply of rice, for personal use. He pleaded not guilty, and the court has scheduled the trial for April 21, 2026, ordering his remand at the Maiduguri Maximum Correctional facility.
